AndBible: Bible Study is a free, open-source Android app designed for in-depth offline Bible study. Unlike simple Bible readers, it integrates advanced tools such as split-screen views, Strong’s numbers for Greek and Hebrew, cross-references, commentaries, dictionaries, and reading plans. The app is maintained by a global volunteer community of developers and translators, with no ads, no subscriptions, and no paywalls. The project began in 2010, originally developed by Martin Denham, and has since grown into a collaborative effort led by contributors like Tuomas Airaksinen and others. It is licensed under the GNU GPL v3, ensuring it remains free and open for all. This makes AndBible one of the most transparent, nonprofit-aligned Scripture tools available — a sharp contrast to commercial Bible apps that rely on subscriptions or ads.
